 Greetings from Hanyang University! We are delighted to invite your students to explore a taste of campus life at Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea. As one of Korea’s leading universities, we will do our utmost to provide the best program for your students and allow them to take full advantage of their 2-week stay with Hanyang this winter. As always, the 2022 HIWS will be held between December and early February with two 2-week sessions. The program includes world-class education combined with a variety of unique cultural activities, providing invaluable experiences to all HIWS students. [A glimpse of HIWS student life: 2018-19 Video Contest Winner]  Program Summary [Session A] Only Program Period: December 23, 2022 – January 6, 2023 Application period: September 1 – November 18, 2022 Eligibility: Anyone enrolled in a higher education institution Language of Instruction: English Tuition: KRW1,700,000 Credits: Maximum of 4 credits Complimentary Activities: Up to 3 activities [Session B] Only Program Period: January 27 – February 10, 2023 Application period: September 1 – December 2, 2022 Eligibility: Anyone enrolled in a higher education institution Language of Instruction: English Tuition: KRW1,700,000 Credits: Maximum of 4 credits Complimentary Activities: Overnight Ski Trip [Session A] + [Session B] Program Period: December 23, 2022 – February 10, 2023 Tuition: KRW 2,700,000 Credits: Maximum of 8 credits Scholarships [Partner Scholarship] KRW200,000 Eligible for students from one of Hanyang’s active partners. – One Session: KRW1,500,000 – Two Sessions: KRW2,500,000 [Early-bird Scholarship] KRW100,000 Eligible for students from a non-partner university. Must complete the HIWS online application by October 28th. “Edutainment” HIWS is an Edu-tainment program that balances academic activities and cultural activities for international students. Education More than 14 courses in 5 different fields of study will be offered for students. Students will be able to choose one academic course and one elective for the two-week session. Since Hanyang University is one of top Korea’s leading universities, we have a strong reputation for its approachable lectures who are leaders in their fields. The courses will motivate students to expand their views of the world by experiencing a new way of learning. Entertainment 5 fun activities including a cruise party and a one-day ski trip are ready for students to explore all corners of the Korean culture. Students may choose up to 3 activities for free, taking part in these activities on the weekend is a brilliant way to give students a well-rounded snapshot of the contemporary Korean lifestyle.
